The Mena House is, if not the best known hotel in Egypt, certainly one of the better known. For years, this hotel has been considered one of the finest in Cairo, and is certainly one of the most historic, with a long and enchanting past.
The extraordinary Mena House, surrounded by private gardens and featuring a view of the Giza pyramids, is a historic landmark located twenty minutes from the center of Cairo. This former hunting lodge has forty acres of jasmine scented grounds perfect for jogging, and Arabesque furniture inlaid with mother of pearl, carved wooden doors with brass trim, original works of art, and mosaic tiles that were hand crafted. The hotel has a stable of horses and camels complete with experienced instructors; swim in their spectacular pool, the largest in Cairo, or play tennis or a round of golf within view of the Sphinx. Hotel restaurants include Al Rubayat, lit by antique Islamic lamps and featuring live music. There is a discotheque and casino. Every room is fully air-conditioned, with a well-stocked mini-bar, direct dial telephone, and TV. Marble bathrooms have bathrobes, personal toiletries and king-size tubs. Room service operates around the clock and laundry can be returned the same day.

  • THE MOGHUL ROOM
    A typical Indian atmosphere is created, serving a large variety of Indian cuisine. Dinner with entertainment, 55 seats, opening hours: 12:30 pm - 03:30 pm, 07:30 pm - 11:30 pm 
  • THE GREENERY RESTAURANT
    A Mediterranean specialty restaurant, located at the garden section, buffet for all meals as well as a la carte, terrace overlooking the Pyramids, 160 seats, opening hours: 07:00 am - 11:30 pm
